  • Sinapi Aba becomes the first Savings and Loans Company in Ghana to be ISO-27001 Certified

    Sinapi Aba has become the first savings and loans company to be awarded ISO 27001 certification following a compliance directive issued by the Central Bank of Ghana. The ISO 27001 is an International Standard Certification on how to manage information relating to all spheres of business operation. This certification attests that the institution has the capacity and all that it takes to manage clients and stakeholder data efficiently. This is very important to business partners and gives assurance of credibility and integrity.

  • Roots of Change: Breaking down the barriers to financial inclusion for rural women in Ghana and DRC

    On 15th September 2021, a momentous learning conference was held to mark the completion of Opportunity International UK’s Roots of Change programme at the Alisa Hotel in Accra. Roots of Change was a three-year programme (2018-2021), funded by the UK Government. It used innovations in training, technology and gender awareness to increase financial inclusion and build livelihoods for women in Ghana and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

  • Sinapi Aba Wins Big at the 2021 World Corporate Golf Challenge

    The highly competitive 2021 Ghana Final of the World Corporate Golf Challenge, has been held at the Royal Golf Club in Kumasi.
    The annual competition attracted golfers who represented over forty top-tier corporate bodies in the country. The golfers numbering over 80,  played with a unique format where two golfers representing each company played in a stable ford shortgun format over 18 holes.

  • 155 Women Graduate from Sinapi Aba Mentorship Programme

    A total of 155 women entrepreneurs have undergone a one-year training on the best ways to enhance the fortunes of their businesses. Most of the beneficiaries, from the informal sector, are clients of the Sinapi Aba Savings and Loans, drawn from across the country. The programme dubbed, “Women Mentorship Programme”, is meant to support the women to acquire modern business knowledge the skills set to grow their respective business.

  • Global SME Finance Awards 2020

    Sinapi Aba Savings and Loans was named GOLD winner, Best Bank for Women Entrepreneurs at the 2020 Global SME Finance Forum on October 27th.
    Organized by IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, and the SME Finance Forum and endorsed by the G20's Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI), the Global SME Finance Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of ?nancial institutions and ?ntech companies in delivering exceptional products and services to their SME clients.

Sinapi Aba Savings and Loans is a new company born out of Sinapi Aba Trust. It is a Non-Banking Financial Institution licensed under the Non-Bank Financial institutions Act 2008(Act 774), authorized to carry on the business of Savings and Loans on the 28th of March, 2013 in Ghana. All loan and savings activities that were previously managed by the Trust are new under the care of the savings and loans company.
